Tone Twilight Zone
Have you heard of Japanese musician Cornelius? I have never heard of him until Scott showed me this MTV a couple of years ago. I used to watch it over and over and over like I was addicted. Sparkling, pure, simple, joyful, colorful… Inspires imagination.
I love the sound of the crickets and the guitar, the finger that walks like a woman, a drunkard, a skater, the black and white effect, … It’s a version of a person’s journey through life from childhood through maturity, from morning to night. Towards the end, the fingers walking on guitar totally reminds me of my first guitar class, my teacher said, “The curve of the guitar is like a woman’s body. You should hold it with love.” (I’ve made peace with that comment over the years and admired Andre. He plays like he’s caressing a beautiful woman’s body and soul. )
