steam train ride

Blake’s parents visited Seattle back in September. We took a road trip to a small town called Elbe situated at border of Mt Rainier National Park. The event of interest is a 2 hour steam train ride through the beautiful fall forest. Not only was it my first train ride in America, it was my first experience on a steam train. The smoke was no fake. The train was equipped with park benches, set so close to each other that we were sure to knock each other in the knees. The fall leaves were gorgeous. I especially like the different textures and layers of colors. Oh, at the end of the day, we stayed right next to the train station at the Hobo Inn, motel rooms made of cabooses.
