Matt’s in the Market

Jen and I had a wonderful lunch at Matt’s in the Market which is located in Pike Place Market on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We were the last customers in the restaurant for lunch that day. The restaurant had few tables, each decorated with small vases of flowers. The restaurant had a very large vaulted window that brought in plenty of sunshine. The patrons had lunch in intimate little tales, overlooking the interesting roofs of the market. That day, Jen had a tuna sandwich, and I a smoked catfish salad. We also shared a chocolate mousse at the end which is on the table, served with thin wafers. We got addicted to the potato peel bread from Macrina there. We really liked the atmosphere, the staff, and the food at Matt’s in the Market. At the end of the meal, our waiter took the picture for us. It was a very nice picture and he carefully placed himself in the reflection of mirror in the corner of the picture.
